What is LASIK Surgery?

LASIK, an acronym for laser in situ keratomileusis, is now one of the most successful surgical treatments of any kind in the world today. Sub-Bowman keratomileusis (SBK), or “bladeless LASIK,” is the most modern form of this life-changing laser eye surgery, and we are pleased to offer SBK laser eye surgery.

What is Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)?

Using the same excimer laser as LASIK, Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) removes a small portion of tissue from the front of the cornea to correct your vision. Unlike LASIK eye surgery, no flap is made causing some people to refer to the procedure as “surface LASIK.” This procedure may be recommended as a better option to achieve outcomes similar to LASIK.
